An early stream of REVOLTING’s “Defleshed” from ‘The Shadow At The World’s End’ (2020)PREMIERE

Today we have the pleasure of presenting an exclusive spin of “Defleshed”, the fifth unveiling from Swedish death metal band REVOLTING‘s seventh album ‘The Shadow at the World’s End‘ which releases this November 27th via Transcending Obscurity Records. As with their previous album (‘Monolith of Madness’) this record kicks off with a set of triumphant melodic death metal pieces that are not only distinctly inspired by the classics of Swedish death metal but delivered with plenty of speed, big HM-2 girded hooks and Chthonic energy; This is most effective as opener “Defleshed” lines up guitarist, vocalist and insanely prolific band leader Rogga Johansson‘s riffing, surely touched by the triumphant sprawl of Fleshcrawl or Revel in Flesh at their most melodic as well as the artist’s own self-generated Swedish death metal ecosystem. The gate opens today with “Defleshed” but the full experience lands near the end of the month, pre-order/favorite the record on Bandcamp or hit up Transcending Obscurity Records for a bunch of elaborate variants and options.

Per the press release:

“Revolting happens to be one of Rogga Johansson’s most prominent and long-running bands along with Paganizer. The band is also one of the most active ones. Fans will know that they’ve honed their craft over the years and they do things in a better way with each one. For the seventh full length, Rogga Johansson has done his best blending classic Swedish melodies with the brute force that his bands are associated with. Imagine a mix of Paganizer and Rogga Johansson and you’ve got something that has the best qualities of both the Swedish-sounding bands, which are presently at the peak of their respective careers. There’s of course the added groove and memorability that’s hard to dislike. All in all, if you’re a fan of well-rounded Swedish death metal that has everything in spades, Revolting is for you.
